Manhunt is fun.

I played manhunt the other day, and it was pretty fun. I got to meet a new person whom was cool. I saw some friends I haven't seen in a while, which was interesting. They didn't really pay much attention to me, and almost seemed as if they were trying to ignore me, but I guess I'm okay with that. Drama is stupid.

Anyway, we were playing at my friend Galinsky's house, and then we moved it to Grant Park because the neighbors were getting annoyed with 15 kids on the street yelling and cursing, and alternative music blasting from a car. That annoys people at 9 PM on saturday night.

After we got to grant park, we didn't really play manhunt anymore, we just kind of sat down and talked and ran around and climbed stuff. A couple people branched off, and went to their own isolated location to talk about private things, while the rest of us bullshitted around.

School is starting for me pretty soon, in 3 days, and hopefully it'll be great. Looking forward to meeting my professors. Mike started yesterday. I've also got a party to go to tomorrow.

Peace out.

Yo Punk.

School is starting next week, and I'm pretty excited, except for my whole schedule thing.

Anyway, I was with my friend Meric yesterday, and her friend Erica, who was pretty annoying. I didn't really like her that much, but whatever, I wasn't disrespectful or anything. Anyway, I guess we had some fun, even though I only saw them for like maybe an hour or two. My mother had an attack right in front of them, and it was bad, but she came back up.

I also saw my other friend Gabrielle, whom is a really cool person. We had Dim Sum together, and it was my first time. It's like a salad bar, except they bring the food to you, and they ask you what you want, and you can take it or leave it.

Then we went around to random stores, and she got a ceramic bowl, and a book, and I bought a gift for an upcoming birthday.

I also got this magnetic ring that I really like, from a store called Evolution. Pretty cool.

No Sleep, New OS

For those of you who don't know, Snow Leopard just came out. That's the new Mac operating system, and I got it and installed it. Right now I'm importing all my music and photos and stuff.

For some reason I couldn't sleep at all tonight, yet again. I've been having some sleep issues, and I hope it doesn't last until college gets started. It's been out of whack, but I haven't dropped dead yet, so I guess it's not all that bad, yet.

Tomorrow I'm seeing a friend I haven't seen a while, and hopefully we'll have fun.

I also have a new idea for a video, although I'm sure it's been done before. I won't say what it is, but a couple of my friends have had a glimpse of what it is. The trouble is, the camera I have, has such a small SD card, it's only 512 MB, and that's enough for maybe 5 minutes of video.

Anyway, that's all for now, maybe I'll put up another review of something.

Not so pleasant.

I'm looking at a not so pleasant future. Short term anyway.

For the next couple of months my schedule is going to be horrible.

That's what it is. I have to wake up really early, transfer 2 buses, come back really late, transfer 2 buses. That's 4.50 a day just for MTA alone. Then there's food cost. I'm there the whole day, and I eat a lot of food. So I'd be spending at least 10 dollars every day. Then there's book costs, which really add up sometimes. It's going to be very annoying and tedious.

I don't have a car, or a laptop, so I'll be bored out of my mind at times. I can read and study only for so long. Plus there's people that I want to see, and I don't know if I'll be doing much of that, but yeah. Bleh.

At least I'm alive.

My father proposed that we and some of his friends go to Bear Mountain. I don't really know what's up there this time of year, I figure nothing exciting. I went there once a couple years ago with my dad during the wintertime, and it was alright.

I also want to go see The Allman Brothers, before they, you know, die. Cause they're like almost 100 years old, and the guitarist is one of the greatest guitarists in the world. Anyway, I'd like to do that, but the tickets are expensive as hell. Not all that expensive, but 110 dollars for 2 people, is a lot. At least it's like 400 dollars cheaper than a shitty Jonas Brothers concert.

We also want to go paragliding, or power-gliding or whichever one of the terms it is. We want to do that, and I would love to. I'm not sure how much that costs, but I'd guess around the same as the concert. So it comes down to either concert or gliding. I'd love to do both, but I'm not sure which would be better.

Oh yeah! I also want to construct swords out of wood. I don't really know how hard it would be to do, but I have it set in my mind, and I can see how it would come out, if I did it right. My father has the tools. All I need is to cut the wood to the right length, width, and depth, and sand out the rest with a machine, or by hand. I'd use pressurized wood, so it won't rot as easy.

That's it for now.

Shout out to Wordan. Bloodclot.

Finally.

Got rid of my iPod Touch, after a while. I wanted to sell it for 120 on craigslist, but no one wanted to buy it, so I lowered the price to 100, and I got jumped on. I just sold it maybe an hour ago, and I guess it's a pretty good win. The downside is, I bought it for 350 dollars, of my own money, 2 years ago, so I lost 250 dollars in the long run, but I didn't use it at all anymore.

Anyway, tomorrow I have an ophthalmologist appointment. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's an eye doctor. I might be getting eye surgery, so I don't have to wear glasses anymore, and I won't be cross-eyed.

I also have the 5 hour pre-licensing course planned on Sunday, so that's another step closer to getting my license. Only trouble is, it's an extra amount of money just to have my license, so I don't know if we can afford that. Money goes by really fast in this family household of 6 people.

District 9 Review

District 9 fits into a couple categories, those being, drama, science fiction, documentary. It's hard to do that with any movie, but this movie, I believe has succeeded, and is unique and different from many other sci-fi movies. It's directed by Neil Blomkamp, who also is going to be directing a Halo movie later on, so watch out for that. This movie was based on a short film that was 6 minutes long, and was basically the same thing. I went to see this movie on opening night, and surprisingly there weren't many people there.

Spoiler alert. Don't read if you don't want to be spoiled!

Review of "District 9."

Plot Summary.
This guy Wikus, is set as the new director for the MNU, for the mission to move 1.8 million prawns from District 9, to District 10. Obviously, all does not fare well, and he has some troubles. One of them being that he tries to evict Christopher, whom is secretly, the leader of the mothership, that is hovering above the city of Johannesburg in South Africa. He's been looking for liquid for 20 years, and just got enough to start the ship and go home to his planet, but Wikus takes it for the research department for the MNU. The liquid does him good, and starts turning him into an alien, and his left arm is completely alien, after around 30 hours or so. This enables him to use the alien weaponry, which the MNU really wants badly. They take him in, want to harvest him, but he escapes. He then finds Christopher again, and breaks into the MNU to get the liquid. Basically, after that part, there's a lot of killing and death and chasing and whatnot involving a huge robot. That's always fun. The ship leaves, Wikus turns into an alien fully, and Christopher promises that he will return in 3 years to turn him back into a human.

The Good.
The first thing I'd like to get out, is that the graphics in this movie, are outright amazing. Obviously the film industry has gotten really advanced, but some recent movies, like Transformers, Harry Potter, Wolverine, didn't really have good graphics. I'm pretty keen at spotting good graphics, and this movie had top-notch graphics. Other than that, even the advertising for the movie was really good. I'm sure you've noticed if you go out and venture, that you've seen "No Non-Humans" signs in random places, and I think that's really cool. The acting was okay, and the weapons and robot were amazing. I loved the way the weapons work. The plot was really strong and very good. I like how the beginning and end part of the film were shot in documentary style, it was very nice. Yeah, lot's of good here. There was definitely very little cliche, and many unique ideas in this movie. It's not like other movies.

The Bad.
It's not hard to think of bad things about movies like these, but this one is an exception at it is unique. It does have some faults that I don't like about it, obviously. I didn't like that you leapt directly into 2010, when the aliens came in 1990. There were details about what happened, but I would have liked to see some more of what happened in the beginning, it would have been nice. I also didn't like how the aliens and humans communicated, but it is how some people communicate. For those of you who don't know, it's called Non-Convergent Discourse. It's used when certain dialects can't be used. In this case, humans can't talk like the aliens can, so they learned to translate each others languages through the years. It's as if you understand spanish, don't know how to speak it, but they understand english, but they don't know how to speak it. I also didn't like how some of the weaponry was reminiscence of the game Half Life 2, it was practically directly taken. Anyway, I think that's all.

My Overall Thought.
I thought overall, the movie was a pretty good one, and I look forward to a sequel, although there is no promise to one. The way the movie ended, the movie itself, and the people in the documentary section, gave all the possibilities to us anyway. I think in the end, it all depends on how successful the movie was. Looking back at Cloverfield, that movie was immensely successful, yet they are still reluctant to create a sequel. I would hope for a sequel from both of these movies. I'm also upset that it wasn't as big as a crowd as it usually is on opening days of films. I think this is a pretty good movie, and since it fits into so many genres, and is so creative and unique, it's worth a look at.

My Rating.
I'd give this movie an 8 out of 10. It's pretty good, but something just isn't there for me to give it a higher score.

Cityand a good movie.

Going to the city today with a couple friends. My friend is actually allowed to go, so we'll be having a good old time. I'm going to look up some events that we can go to maybe, right after I post this.

I saw District 9 last night and it was a pretty good movie. It was a unique one, I'll give it that, maybe I'll do a movie review on it, if I feel like it, I haven't done one of those in a while.

I got a check from my college for a dollar. Yeah, a dollar.

Anyway, pretty short blog post, see you next time.

City with more peeps!

So my friend Amanda is able to go to the city now! I think I told you in some earlier posts that her mother wouldn't let her, but now she's able to go, because her twin sister keeps going all the time with her boyfriend.

I'm going to be going with quite a few of my friends, and hopefully we'll go to Governor's Island, it should be great. I'm thinking of not going there, but sticking around the village, it could be cool.

Anyway, I signed up for classes, finally, and my financial aid got accepted, finally. It took way too long for them to do it, it's crazy. They pulled me out of my original classes, the beginning of this month, and I signed up for classes the beginning of July. Of course, I just signed up 2 days ago, but so many classes were filled up, my schedule is so spread out. Here's a look at my schedule if you care.

Well yeah, there it is, see you guys next time.

Saw Family

I saw my Aunt Ferhan yesterday, and it's been way too long. She's a really cool aunt, and a really cool person. I haven't seen her for a very long time, and I went to see her with my father after I went to a doctor's appointment. She has a daughter, Ela, who's really cute, and I remember when she was the size of a pillow. She's grown to be really cute and smart. She's in 3rd grade and she's in a 7th grade reading and writing program, it's amazing. She's even reading the Harry Potter series.

On another note, I went to see the doctor, because I might be getting eye surgery. I've been saying that for years, but this time, it's actually happening, because I was too lazy to ever do anything about it, but now I actually set it up. I have to call the doctor today, probably around 10:00 AM, because thats when most clinics open up.

Hopefully I'll be glasses-less, within the month!

Carrying a notebook.

I've been carrying a notebook around with me for the past couple of weeks. I've only written in it twice, but it's a good feeling to have something to write on. See, I love to write, I can always write, usually in any circumstance. Some of my friends know that, some don't, but I think I'm a decent writer or author or whatever it is.

I also want a typewriter, so anyone who can clue me in on where to get one, would be great. If I got a typewriter, I would type every day, and write really awesome funtastic things.

Anyway, I like the stuff I write, and I entitled the notebook, Bijan's Aquarium of Swimming Thoughts.

I saw a friend in the city, whom I haven't seen for a while, and it was great to see her, we had fun I think. We went to Governor's Island.

Anyway, I'm in a pretty good mood, later homedawgs.

200th Post.

This is my 200th post on this blog! This is almost a landmark achievement. I've had a lot of doubts my blog would get this far, but it seems it's doing well. I will say though, not many people read from this blog directly, but rather from the imported section on my facebook, which is still great I guess. It's a good feeling to know that people read about stuff that you write about.

My foot is pretty screwed up, because I jumped off of the Hewlett Elementary School on to grass, and I didn't know it was wet, so I slipped and bruised my heel. This means I haven't been able to work for the past 2 days, and today also.

I hope it will be gone by tomorrow, because I'm going to an Eagles of Death Metal show. It should be very very wicked.

On another note, NCC, Nassau Community College, is driving me crazy. About a month ago, they sent me a bill for tuition, I signed up for Financial Aid, but FAFSA lost my saved report, and I had to do the whole thing all over again. Then NCC said they didn't get anything, so I went to FAFSA, and they wanted corrections on it. I gave in the corrections, and by this time, all my classes got cancelled because I didn't pay the tuition, which I was never supposed to. So I submitted it 2 days ago, and still haven't gotten a reply.

This pretty much sucks, I hope I'll get it in time. Last year, I got it about a week before classes started, but it was so much of a hassle.

Scary Dream.

I had a really horrifying dream. I wouldn't even classify it as a horror dream or nightmare or anything, it was just awful. It wasn't like painful or I wasn't panting or anything like that, it's just bad.

I'm on the street walking in a plaza or something. Out of nowhere I hear incredibly loud and painful noises. When I say that, I really really mean. You know how you hear thunder, let's say that, at it's highest loudest point, times 1000. It's so excruciatingly painful. Then peoples ears just start to bleed while I'm walking, and so do mine. While this whole thing is going on, then everyone just looks up to the moon, and 3 objects, maybe meteors or asteroids just collide into the moon.

The moon, is literally destroyed, and it caved in on itself. It was hit so hard, that it broke like glass, and pieces of it went flying. Then all of the sudden, everyone else around me just gets a huge whiplash, and we all just drop to the floor. What happened next was so weird.

My eyesight turned into something like a channel without reception, and I actually heard the noise. Then it started fading into black. What's scary was that, I could only see complete black, but the black started shaking so hard, and vigorously. It was really scary.

Well yeah, that's my dream. I don't know if it means anything, but it may not read like it's scary. But when I dreamed it, it really felt horrible.
