So last night I saw Iron Man 2, and it was pretty good. The effects were pretty good, and the story was pretty good too, and after the end of the movie, if you stay, there's a little preview of something that'll make you really excited if you're a comic book nerd like me. I don't really want to get much into it, but it's great, and I think you should go see Iron Man 2, if you saw the first one and liked it. It wasn't as good as the first one, but then again how many sequels are as good as the original?

I also would like to work on my longboard today if I get the chance. I can't really do it, because my dad wants to do it with me, but we never get the chance to. I have the wood glued a lot better this time, so hopefully we can cut it down, put the resin on it, and install the wheels and that'll be it. I really want this project to be done.

I haven't been to band practice in a bit, last time I didn't go, was because Mike was busy studying, which makes sense since it's coming to the last weeks of school. They are going to have band practice today at around 11, but I'd rather work on the longboard, because I have to go to my mom's because of Mother's Day. It is the right thing to do.

Oh yeah, and if anyone knows anything about trucks and wheels for skateboards or longboards, contact me, because for some reason I don't think they turn, or at least right, I don't know.

Longboarding and School

It's been a while again. I don't know what's putting me off from making videos anymore, but there's only really one person who cares about it that much I think, and I saw him yesterday. Some people are already back from college, and I still have a month to go. It's pretty crazy. A couple of my friends are coming back in a week or two, but at least I'm still around so I can see them anyway.

I wonder why they don't just sync up all of the schools into one calendar, it would be so much easier. All of the breaks differ from each other, and so do the test dates and everything, oh well.

Not much else has been going on except for this one big project I've been working on. I've been wanting a longboard really badly within the past month, and they're really expensive, so I can't really get one, so I've opted to do the next best thing, make one.

Yeah, I'm going to end up making one, and it's going to be hard, but I want it that bad. I already made one, but it didn't turn out good, because it was my first time, and a lot of things went wrong. I rode it around, but it wouldn't turn, and the wood got all damaged because it was flexing too much, and it just didn't work out.

Maybe I'll end up working on it today, that would be awesome. I have all of the other parts and stuff, and I love the wheels I got, they just won't stop spinning when you push them, it's amazing how far technology has come. Anyway, that's really it for now.

Band!

So I started a band, if you can call it that, with 2 other people, Ronnie and Mike. I'm the guitarist and singer, while Mike is the bassist, and Ronnie is the keyboardist. That's all we have for right now, and I don't think we need much else except for a drummer.

We attempted to have band practice with a couple of other people, but they didn't like that genre of music, so they just left immediately before we even did anything as a band. One of them thought it was going to be a screamo death metal band, which it isn't, and the other wanted it to be an alternative emo band, and I don't like either of those types of music.

Anyway, so we're still at 3 musicians. If you think you can drum, you should comment or send me a message or something. I'm going for the indie sound, and hopefully I'll have luck. I have all of this music in my head that I have to write down or something.

Not much else is really happening, I'm going to my mothers in a couple hours because she wants me. Today was going to be one of my friends birthdays and I wanted to go, but I guess I can't. It seems that every time my mother wants me, something always happens here on the island, but oh well.

Anyway, that's it for now.

Been A While.

It's been exactly a week since I've done my last blog, and I'm sorry for those who wait in anticipation for any news from me, even though I doubt you people exist. Anyway, I'm back, and the reason I didn't do any blogs was sort of because I was busy almost all the time.

I do have some things to talk about though, not important but that's what this blog is for!

I met this guy Alex, who owns a store called KMI, in West Hempstead, and he's a really cool and awesome guy. His philosophies in life, are the exact same as mine, and I'm sure we'll become good friends. Hopefully I can get a job working there, and have fun at the same time. It's a comic book, card store, action figure, statue, nerd kind of store, and it seems really awesome. There's a room in the back where you can play card games with other people if you want, and it's a really cool lay out, and the store has really good prices and everything. I hope he succeeds, because his outlook on life is great, and it seems like he deserves it.

So on Friday, it was Allaire and I's one year anniversary, and we didn't really do much, but we did have a good time. She was tired because she didn't get enough sleep, but nonetheless, we declared our love for each other, and had a nice time just being with each other and other friends as well. We went to see Kick-Ass, which was a pretty good movie, and we also went to the mall for a little bit and had some fun.

Yesterday, we were together the whole day, but it was a really lazy day. We took a little walk around for maybe 30 minutes, then came back, ate, watched a movie, and just laid down next to each other the rest of the night. It was really nice, and we talked about some random things in life. She also gave me a gift, which is god damn amazing. If you want to see what she made me, look at the video, it's incredible how she did it. She's one of the most creative and artistic people I know, it's amazing.

I also met up with my friend Nicole for a very short while in the morning and we had breakfast together. We went to a bakery and got some food, then went to another deli and she ate there too. She asked me a very out of nowhere question that I was kind of surprised at. She told me she wanted to ask me an "awkward" question, and said that she had to wait for the right time to ask.

The question was something around, how come I'm so happy all the time and I never seem to get upset and I don't give up and keep going?

We talked for a long time about it, and I basically said that life is too beautiful to get angry, upset, give up, or even have pity on anyone or anything. I think that everyone should be treated equally, and that everyone deserves infinite chances because everyone can change. I'm let down by a lot of people all the time, but I never let it get me down, I nudge it off and I keep going. I always give, because that's the one thing in life that makes me most happy, giving people anything. It doesn't have to be physical, but it would be respect, caring, and even time. Everyone deserves that.

Great Days.

Yesterday I had a really good day. I cooked these wonderful pancakes for mike and we both ate them along with my dad. They turned out pretty good even though the first 3 were ruined because we thought the surface was stick free. The stove we have came with this pancake maker thing that you just put over the burner, and it's flat and stick free.

After that, we went to the park and started practicing volleyball, only because I don't really enjoy soccer all that much. I'm alright at it, it's just boring to me, and I prefer handball, frisbee, football, or something like that. There wasn't a net to play with so we used the tennis courts, and it was kind of fun.

Then Allaire and Erika came, along with Amanda and Zach, and then we all played together, and it was really bad, because everybody isn't that good, so we just kind of stopped. Then we all went to Mikes house and when we got there his dad wanted us to plant a new tree he got from Japan into the front yard. It was a tree that grows straight up and it's really thin, but it took a while, so I started grilling some hamburgers. I grilled hamburgers for everybody including Mikes mom and dad, and everyone seemed to like it but I think they could have been better.

I want to get better at cooking in general.

After that, we all watched a movie in Mikes basement. I kind of fell asleep during the movie, and apparently I like to twitch in my sleep from what I'm told. The movie was called A Serious Man. I tried to watch it, but I couldn't stay awake, I was so sleepy.

That pretty much sums up the whole day. I think it was pretty good.

Oh yeah, and I got a new keyboard to start practicing with!

Heat, and a Journal Entry

Man, it's hot outside.

I don't really have much to talk about, so it's Journal Entry time. I'm going to recite a journal entry that I wrote, randomly. I'm not going to type the whole thing out, because it's not meant to be read kind of, it's more meant to be read out loud to you, for you to hear. If you want to hear it, you're going to have to watch the video.

April Fool's Day!

Yeah, sadly, I won't be partaking in April Fool's day, that's the internets job, and they do a pretty good job. I'm talking to you, Topeka. If you don't get that, go to google.com.

Anyway, so as I'm listening to this song Jimmy, by K.I.A., which is an awesome song, I'm reminded of what my friends and I did a couple days ago. We were all in a car talking about how places don't exist. Sonic came up, and we my friend Reid says to us, no it exists, there's one in New Jersey. The journey had started. He must have driven for 6 hours, and that's pretty much all we did that one day. He came to my house at around 1 PM, and we got there at maybe 4 PM, and we came back to Pete's house at maybe 9 PM. Yeah, it was worth it.

The burgers are amazing. It's as if some type of fast food building fell down from the crack in the sky, and we found it. The burgers and fries taste so amazing, and I'm not one for fast food. And they come out to you in roller skates. Friggin roller skates, come on. Would you not spend hours on end to go to a fast food place that makes your stomach tear in ecstasy, only to have the burgers delivered on roller skates?

Anyway, some other news, I got a couch for my room! Yeah, after a long long time, I finally got a couch for it, and it's very nice. It kind of sits out because it's pretty big, but it's still nice to have in the room. Now when people come into my room, they have somewhere to sit other than my bed and my bean bag chair thing.

I'm probably going to end up reorganizing my room in a couple months, but I have to draw out the statistics and stuff like that. This spring break is being pretty good so far. I've been with most of my college friends outside of school, I've seen Allaire, they've met Allaire, and I think they all like each other, and it's great.

Only thing I miss is seeing Mike, haven't seen him for a good week and I miss the kid.

Back from ICON!

So I came back from ICON last night, and it was a lot of fun. I met many people, saw many interesting things, and it was just fun to be there. I went to a couple tournaments, had my laughs, stayed with friends at a hotel, and got a couple of things.

Friday night, we found the Magic room, and we spent some of the night there. After that we went to AppleBees and ate. Then we played some xbox until we fell asleep. Then on Saturday, we went to a huge room with lots of RP players, and RP'd for hours on end. It was a lot of fun. After RPing, we went to the Dealers Room, which is a bunch of panels and lots of things that people are selling.

After I went outside I saw some sword fighting, and it was awesome. It was 10 dollars to sign up, and then you can do it as much as you wanted, and it was a lot of fun. You sword fight with just random people, and everyone is really friendly and funny. After doing that, I longboarded around the entire campus for a little bit, and saw some amazing Cosplay.

I wish I had taken more pictures, but I got a decent amount, and a couple of videos. There were so many people who had dressed up as random characters in animes and comic books and movies, it was great. I got to talk to some of them, and meet some really cool people.

Overall I had a great time, and I hope to start going there every year, and make it a yearly thing in my schedule. I was going to go with more people, but some people couldn't go this year. Next year hopefully it will be better, and more awesome than it was this year.

Frisbee, Work, Magic!

So on Friday, I played Frisbee with a bunch of people. It was kind of fun, but everybody who played wasn't really that good, and there were only a couple people who were actually good at it, and we were all on the same team, and eventually won 7 to 0. So it was a good thing that we were playing, we just all need to work on getting better is all. After Frisbee, we then went to a nearby bench and starting playing Magic, which I know sounds lame, but I know had some fun, I really like the game.

It's funny how people automatically assume I'm a loser for playing a card game that I really enjoy, oh well.

So the kitchen is coming along pretty well. I just finished working for a couple of hours, cleaning up all of the sheetrock from the walls that were broken down a couple weeks ago. We had to sort them all in bags, but my cousin was the one putting them into bags, and I guess we made them too heavy. So we had to distribute the weight among even more bags. It wasn't that hard, but it's really time consuming.

So today the plan is to go to a friends house, and just hang out. I hope I get some exercise and go out and play more Frisbee with more people.

Anyway, that's really it for now, not much else, the week after though, it's Spring Break for my school, along with most of my friends, so that'll be fun.

One more thing, if you think I should read one of my passages I wrote, tell me, and I'll do it tomorrow.

Sports and ICON!

I've been playing a lot more sports recently, and it's fantastic. It's been so beautiful outside and the weather is just gorgeous enough that I can play frisbee and handball in just a shirt. I've been having a blast these past couple of days and getting in plenty of physical activity. I did rough out some injuries, but nothing substantial, and I'm a little sore, but that's probably from doing a ridiculous amount of exercise. I played maybe 3 hours of frisbee, and then after that, a couple hours of handball.

It's great and I can't wait to start doing some Parkour. I'm going to try to get some people into it, so that I have people to practice with. It's really hard doing Parkour on your own, because it's fun to do it with other people and have a team.

The only downside I see is that, it's technically still Winter, and it's almost 70 degrees outside. This really isn't that good. I'm not going to go into a huge rant or anything but I will say this. If you see a light on that's not being used, close it. Turn off your T.V. Unplug stuff you don't use, buy smarter, and stuff like that. It may seem like it doesn't do anything, but it adds up. At the end of the day, if there are 100 more people who do the same thing, you might have saved a couple dollars in electricity, and it really counts towards the environment.

Next up is ICON! It's coming soon, and boy is it going to be fun. It's my first time going, and I'm going with people who've been going for years. I can't wait, it's going to be an entire weekend at Stony Brook at a hotel full of people who cosplay, play games, design games, create comics, read comics and other stuff.

I'm going with 6 people, and we're all sharing a room at a hotel for the weekend for a very very good price. It's a cheap price for what we're getting. I just know that I hope for the best, and that I come back with more money than I left with. You see, at this event, you can play for money if you want to, and my friend and I plan to play together with Magic cards, and make some money. All I want is to have fun really, and I'm going on a strict budget, so if I lose some, I'll still be happy.

All American.

So today I went to this place called All-American Burger, and there's only one of its kind. It's in Massapequa, out in Long Island, and it's a long ways away from most locations, but it's really worth it. Every burger there is around 1 to 3 dollars, and all of them are almost the size of your face. My friends and I got maybe 5 pounds of burgers for only 35 dollars maybe, and with fries and drinks. It's incredibly cheap and good.

It's not all that unhealthy for you too, because it's real beef, none of McDonald's secret sauce crap with artificial stuff in it.

Speaking of healthy, it's getting warmer and warmer everyday, and I can't wait till it warms up so we can play Frisbee, Football, or Handball. It's going to be great. My club at school decided we're all going to go LARPing the last week of school. If you don't know what that is, you're missing out on a lot of fun. It stands for Live Action Role Playing. Basically, it's like you're playing a video game.

There's healers, warriors, leaders, flag carriers, and so on with teams. You use actual weapons and flags and carry armor and everything. You do all that on rough terrain with random objects laid out everywhere. Then you set up your own rules and wreak havoc and have fun. I used to do it as a little kid, now I'm doing it as a 20 year old college student.

Isn't life grand? I have some more to talk about, but that's for a different time.

Nothing to talk about.

Yeah, so it's me here, but I don't have much to talk about. I was with a couple friends and they were going to have fun and have a get together. They used to be a big group in high school but some of them came back for different reasons, but I opted to come back home because I have school tomorrow.

It''s funny because I had a lot of friends in high school, and right before my senior year, I had a group of friends, and we'd call ourselves the hoodlums. Everyday we would get together and just do something else. It could have been doing nothing, or playing football or playing games or just hanging out and talking about nothing. It was a lot of fun.

I don't really have much of a group to do that with anymore, although sometimes I'll see a couple friends and get together and talk about life, it's great, but I don't have a regular group of friends that I regularly see and do things with. It's not really a complaint, but more rather something I'd like to see more of.

I don't really have much to say. I got Allaire an iPod, one of the older ones, the iPod Nano 8 GB, because I knew she wanted one, I could just tell, and I got it for a really good price. I hope she enjoys it and uses it because everybody should have music in their everyday life.

Not really much of a blog post I know, but not much has really happened. If this happens again I'll have to pull something from one of my serious posts, actually that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

New Paltz? Old Friends?

So today I saw one of my friends, Peter, who I usually never see. I have been seeing more of him recently, and that's definitely a great thing. Thinking about it now, I have been seeing a couple of friends more often than before, and I'd like that to continue. I never really hung out with some people from the olden days, and that's really a shame, because some of them are really good people.

I really have to look into dedicating my time towards more people, because they won't, and I won't, be around forever.

I might head up to New Paltz on Thursday just for fun with a friend, and hopefully we'll get some fun. A lot of college people are starting to come home from Spring Break, so maybe I'll join some people, because I get out a little early from school.

Construction to the kitchen is going pretty well. If you don't know, we're redoing the entire kitchen, and I mean the whole damn thing, it's all gone. My dad's replacing the floor right now, and we did the kitchen window yesterday, and it's starting to look pretty good.

Things are going pretty well, and hopefully they'll get a lot better, I know I'm going to try as best as I can. Things are starting to warm

That's really it for now. Not much news going on in my life, I do still want to go see Alice, but I heard it was really bad from a lot of people.

Cop Out.

Cop Out is a movie that was directed by one of my favorite directors of all time, Kevin Smith. It wasn't written by the guy though, so it didn't urn out nearly as good as it could have been. It also isn't in the New Jersey universe with Jay and Silent Bob, or Ben Affleck or people like that. Jason Mewes is in it, but he isn't playing the comic jackass genius that he is in all of the other movies.

Review of "Cop Out".

Plot Summary.
I think the story takes place in Chicago, I'm not so sure, but that doesn't really matter much anyway. It stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan with I think his name is Sean Scott or something. Bruce is typically playing his funny tough cop act as he typically does in all of his movies, and Tracy Morgan is his partner who seems to be a little on the slow side. He is really funny though. So Bruce has a daughter who's getting married, and he doesn't have the money to pay for it. He doesn't want to let his ex-wifes husband pay for it, because that will make him look bad, not to mention that that guy is a complete ass. He decides to sell his baseball card which recently sold for about $80000 or something like that. He goes to the store, and he gets robbed. As he tries to get it back, he makes a deal with the guy that has it to get his car back that's been stolen. They get the car back, but there's a girl in the trunk who doesn't know English. There's a lot of comedy in between scenes to fill the gaps, but in the end, the card gets destroyed and he can't pay for the wedding, they get promoted and he earns his daughters love by walking her down the wedding. That's it, but there's a couple of things I left out, but they aren't so big.

The Good.
It was really funny. Both, if not all actors did a very good job at making my friends and I laugh. Never at one point did I get bored and wanted the movie to end or stop abrubtly. The acting was pretty alright too. I mean, I don't expect any oscars or anything, but it was decent. The plot wasn't very solid, but it was strong enough to keep the movie going and keep you entertained. Of course one of the key elements was that it was directed by Kevin Smith. Every movie he's done is really good. But this is the only movie that he's done that he hasn't written, so obviously it didn't turn out as well as it could have.

The Bad.
Well, it wasn't written by the guy, so that's a bad already. I never thought he would ever direct a movie that he didn't write, because I've seen him in tons of interviews and stuff, and I never would think that. The only real bad I can think of is that Bruce Willis always plays the same damn character every time. He never changes, almost ever. Anyway, that's really it. I can't really think of anything that was bad but I mean, there wasn't too much good, so it makes it okay.

My Overall Thought.
Eh. It was alright. I mean, it wasn't so amazing that I would watch it again and again, or maybe even a second or third time. It doesn't really have much replay value, unless your looking for a quick laugh. This definitely won't best any charts or any other movies, but it's just there because it can be, and because it's a fun movie, without any huge promises. It wasn't really brought out and advertised as an amazing fantastic movie, because it really wasn't, and I think Kevin Smith knew that. He probably looked over it and said, eh, it's alright. That's what I say at least.

My Rating.
I'd give this movie a 6.5 out of 10. It was definitely the weakest movie he's come out with, but how can you compare it to Clerks, Dogma, Zach & Miri, and Mallrat movies? You can't.

Video Link!

Busy, tired.

If you read my blogs you should have known that I was going to come out with a review for Cop Out yesterday, but I didn't. Why you ask, why have you left me with no video for me to watch because I have nothing else to do?

Well, I got home at 9 PM last night, when I really didn't intend do. I ended up spending 4 hours at a place called Game Table, doing nothing but sitting around and play and watch people play magic. Nerd haven for others, but not for me. I was so tired by the time I got home, and my battery had died out.

Anyway, I was going to do one a couple of minutes ago until I decided, nah, another time. I'm also very hungry and I have to type up an essay and catch up on music homework.

So I took my math test today, but I'm screwed if I don't get another calculator that costs $120 bucks. Why does it cost 120 dollars? Because it does things like add and subtract and make pretty graphs that are super not useful in real life.

I also got my case in that I ordered for the iPhone, and it's real nifty, and very smug tight.

Last news for the blog, I can fix the PowerBook G4, for a nominal fee of around 350 dollars. But that's so expensive, you might say. Well, yes and no. One, it's mac, two, it's a really good computer and it gets the job done. Either that or get one of those netbooks.

Laptop? Movies? School?

So yesterday I went to a movie called The Last Station. I was thinking of seeing it, but it wandered off of my mind, and I forgot about it. When I saw a commercial for it, which was very odd considering it was an independent movie, I thought it was about a radio station that was the last radio station to play a genre of music or something like that. I was way off, incredibly off. I'm pretty sure radio stations didn't even exist during that time period.

It was a fantastic movie about Tolstoy. I'm sure 90% of you don't even know who that is, and it's very sad. Well, he was a great writer, full name Leo Tolstoy. Almost all Russians know who he is because of what he did. He was like William Shakespeare, except maybe even better. He changed the way a lot of people thought, and entire communities of people were built following the Tolstoyan way. Anyway, it was a very emotional film and very long. I'm sure I'm one of the few young people who would have enjoyed it. Among the entire crowd who watched it, I was the only one below 50 years old.

Moving on, I want this new laptop that was shown at CES, the Consumer Electronics Show, which I've been following for many years. It's a great event, but very nerdy. Things like computers, new technology and games are shown there. This laptop called the m11x was shown and it looks fantastic, and it's generally pretty cheap for what it is. I'd love to get that if I could, I'm tired of waiting for a Macbook Pro. Not to mention it's $1200 cheaper.

Onward even further, my school is seeming to start pretty good. I've had 3 snow days, and that really seems to screw up college students a lot more. It's not like high school where you just come in the next class because you have it every day. Each of my classes only meets up twice a week, and class has been cancelled quite a few times, so it means more cramming in a shorter amount of time, aw well.

I also saw Cop Out, and I'll try to post a review of it up tomorrow. I have some schoolwork to do for today, and making a movie review is actually harder than it seems and takes some time, so watch out for that tomorrow if you're interested.

DragonBall Evolution is a 2009 live action film adaptation with the same name. The anime was amazing and is highly regarded as one of the greatest animes of all time, if not the greatest. But that's a whole different story. The movie however, is one of the most horrendous of all time. The transformation from anime to live action was probably the worst that I can think of, and I hope it ceases to exist. All in all, by itself it is a very bad movie, but it might thrill people who don't know about the anime. Let's review it. Spoiler alerts.

Review of "Dragonball Evolution".

Plot Summary.
Well, the story is pretty much nowhere close to what the anime is, but let's have a go at it. Piccolo, an evil namekian from 2000 years ago, escapes from imprisonment and is looking the the dragonballs. It's Gokus 18th birthday, and he gets the 4th dragonball, by his grandfather, Gohan. He meets his soon to be girlfriend Chi Chi, and his grandfather dies because of Piccolo. He meets up with Roshi, and eventually Bulma, Yamcha, Piccolo's servant Mai. They all eventually form a group and collect 3 dragonballs. They are stolen by Mai, and Piccolo turns out to have the other 4. Goku turns into the Oozaru, but mans up and takes its power and becomes one with it, then kicks Piccolos ass. That's pretty much it. You don't have to watch the movie now.

The Good.
Well, I don't know, not really much to say. Because it's really short, it makes it less painful. Less to watch. There's some okay effects, nothing to grand. Yeah I don't know, if you think anything was really good about the movie, then congratulations to you for not wanting to pull your eyes out of your skull. I guess they got the kamehameha, except it can't bring people back from the dead...

The Bad.
Too much, way too much. I'll simplify it as much as I can. The movie was way too short. I know this contradicts what I said earlier, but think about it. As much as it was short, it could have been longer, because the story could have been much better. Not even that, the story could have been the real story, and not some new one that the script writers decided to make while they were like "Screw it, everyones going to watch it anyway". The writers were James Wong, Ben Ramsey and Akira Toriyama, the same guy who wrote the god damn manga, yet the movie turned out horrible. Stephen Chow was going to direct it, but didn't. If you don't know who that is, he was the guy who directed Shaolin Soccer, and his more popular and very good movie, Kung Fu Hustle. Imagine how good it would have been! More bad? The god damn characters. If you watch the first season of any of the dragonball series, you will notice something immediately, the characters don't match up. Goku isn't supposed to be 18 at all during any time period. Bulma isn't some random girl, and certainly doesn't have brunette hair. Chi Chi isn't a high school student who's really patient. GOKU IS NOT AMERICAN AND DOESN"T GO TO HIGH SCHOOL. I don't even know how they fucked up Yamcha, Master Roshi and Piccolo. I don't even want to talk about it anymore.

My Overall Thought.
This movie, shouldn't have happened. It's odd that all of the horrible movies make a lot of money, but this is one of the few movies that I'm glad landed in the bargain bin if that. It was in the news that Wal-Mart had it on overstock because no one was buying it even though it had a ridiculous sale price of only 4.95. I don't have the link for it, but I'm sure it's in the news somewhere. This movie had so much potential. The moment I saw the trailer for it in 2008, I knew it was going to be horrible from the way it looked. Everyone was americanized! Horrible decision they made giving the director role to James Wong.

My Rating.
Now, this movie wasn't a complete absolute terror, it'll probably bring good to kids and people like that. I give this movie a 3 out of 10, only because the only people who should be watching this are 3 year olds. They don't have the mind to remember such horrible movies like this.

The most exciting thing to happen within the past couple of days is this little place called Williamsburg. It's probably one of my favorite spots in New York, if not my favorite.

I went there with Mike and Allaire, and it was amazing. It was the first time I had gone anywhere with Allaire outside of where we live, so we actually had things to do and places to go. It's amazing there, and anyone who doesn't know of it,, should definitely look into it. You're accepted there, no matter what type of person you are. It's full of culture and it's thriving. People are incredibly nice, and very odd, but a good type of odd.

There's always clubs and parties to go to, there's stores everywhere, and the streets go on for miles, full of art on the walls of buildings, amazing landscapes, and tons of events. You can just go out and walk with no goal, and get entertained. I would love to live there one day, but it's really expensive there from what I hear.

Cop Out is coming out this week, and it looks okay, but what I'm most psyched about is that Kevin Smith directed it. He's one of my favorite directors, but I think he might screw this one up. There's no Jay and Silent Bob, there's no New Jersey universe, and it's with Bruce Willis and some other guy I don't know about. I hope it'll be good so I can continue to be a fan of his.

In other news, people have to stop hating other people, it's pretty annoying. I was going to go to a movie night at a friends house, but I was with a friend. When I went there, the person asked me why my friend was there. We stayed for a little bit, and she said that people would refuse to come because he was there. How stupid is that? Just because you hate someone, you're not going to come? Kudos to you.

Is it really that hard to withhold something towards someone? Not really, people do it all the time. Well anyway, me being the person I am, offered to leave with him so that they could continue on, so we left and came back to my house. It's sad that things like that happen, and it's a shame that there are people like that in the world. I know it might come out offensive, but there are annoying people out there in the world, but some of them are good hearted and that's all there is to it. Try to be a little more thoughtful before insulting someone you really dislike.

School's Almost Here.

School is on it's way back, and I still have a lot of reading to catch up on. I have a couple test this week, which is kind of odd, because I had the whole week off, so we're not really learning. I don't know how well I'll do on the tests, but I hope I do well, wish me luck.

Yesterday, I made Jell-o, or Jello, or however you spell it. Here's the question of the day, is Jello solid or liquid? I don't know what the hell it is, but I think it's just a viscous awesome substance. It's a lot of fun to make, play with and eat, and I'm thankful that it's around for all of the boring days that my friends and I have.

So I got a call from my mother yesterday, and she really surprised me. She told me she was going to move away to Hawaii next year, and that seems really odd. She just moved to Harlem around 2 years ago, and it seems like she's just settling in. I don't know what's going to happen, but I guess I wish her the best.

I also started drawing with Charcoal. It's a gift that Allaire got for me, and I really appreciate it. I never really used it before, but Mike tells me that I'm supposed to use it for shades of colors, but I think using it any way I want is better. It's not always fun using things the way they were meant to be used, especially when it comes to artistic things.

I have no idea what's in store for today, but I was thinking of going to the park, because it's very beautiful outside.

Video Blog? Boring Day?

So I'm going to try to create a new type of bond between written text and video. I'll try this, maybe a few times and see how it goes.

Yesterday was pretty boring, but I did do some things that kept me a little entertained. I didn't really do anything, but I did see a horrendous movie. I was watching this movie, 17 Again, which wasn't too bad, I actually kind of liked it, but it ended, and then I was going through the list of movies on the guide channel, and I reminded myself that The Wrestler was going to be on.

I saw it movies, and I must say, it's an amazing movie. It's sad to hear that people have been seeing it in the bargain bins in places like Wal-Mart and Best Buy or whatever. It's a really good movie, and I do recommend seeing it. Maybe I should do a review on it.

Anyway, so after realizing it wasn't playing, I kept scrolling through the movies, and I saw Dragonball: Evolution. One of my friends Patrick, has an utter hatred for this movie, and we've discussed it's horribleness, many a times.

I watched the whole thing through, and during the early parts I messaged Patrick saying I was watching it, and he told me to prepare myself. It was my first time watching it.

Anyway, today, I've been trying to crack my iPhone 3GS, which I just got, but it won't happen because of some new firmware they released, they being Apple.

I have been playing Magic: The Gathering a lot on an application called Lackey, and it's a lot of fun, and it's free best of all. People who play that game, know that it's an expensive hobby, and it's very consuming, but I have a life, or at least I think so.

Valentines Day!

Well, here it is again. Some of you may be with someone, and some of you may not. Today is one of the highest suicide death ratings throughout the entire year, and throughout the entire world, which is very sad. I've been reading a lot of negative comments on Valentine's Day throughout the past couple of weeks, and it's probably because you might not have what you want, but I think it's a great holiday.

It isn't meant to put you down, it's meant to enthuse and excite you. Just because you don't have a significant other doesn't mean you can't celebrate the day. You have your mother, grandmother, aunt, friends, it could be someone you've never even thought of. There's a lot more people in your life than you really think, and I'm sure that today, someone is thinking of you, and you don't even know it.

Last year, I made Valentine's Day cards for all my friends that were girls, and they all seemed to really like it. It wasn't out of romance, but out of making them feel good about themselves, and myself as well.

I also wrote "Everybody deserves some recognition, even if it be from a friend" and I'm sticking to that.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone, have a good one. Blog you later.

Snow Day!

What better a day than today, the day when I have the most classes. Yesterday I was at school and told everyone that school was cancelled and I heard pure happiness. Right after I went to a friends house and we had a pretty good time.

Things have been going pretty good so far. I'm about to see Allaire and Erika and maybe some others a little later, and I hope to have a good time. Whenever she's there.

I finally started getting some Rolling Stone magazines, and I've been reading up on them, as well as Freud, and I gotta say, both things are pretty interesting, setting aside the differences. I like reading all of the music stuff, and it helps me find new stuff to listen to. Maybe I should do another album review one of these days, I've only done 1 in my entire history of blogging.

Anyway, Valentine's Day is coming up, and I'm so confused, I have no idea what's going to happen. I want to see Allaire, but there's a lot of complications. I don't really know what to do, but if the worst case scenario happens, I'll just see her on Tuesday, which is our 10 month anniversary.

It's been quite a while, for me at least, and it will last far longer.

Movie Collection!

So I have this gigantic movie collection that some people know about. Probably composing of well over 200 movies, and I want to end up watching most of them. Who needs a Netflix account when you have all of these movies, that no one has heard about?

I doubt anyone who's looked at these movies knows more than one or two of them. Some of them are foreign films or old black and white films. I'll name a couple of them, see if you recognize any of them.

French Connection
Conversations
Up In The Sand Box
Siddhartha
May
The Hidden Fortress
The I Inside
Idle Hands
The Hudsucker Proxy

I won't name any more but yeah, those are all really good movies. Some of those are foreign films from Sweden, Japan, and Spain, and they're very good. Idle Hands is one of Jessica Alba's first movies, when she was not nearly as popular as she is today.

In other news, it was supposed to snow yesterday but it didn't, but it is snowing now, but only very lightly. I really like snow storms, they're very fun, and I love to walk in in them.

In class optimism.

In class right now. As I wait for my teacher to come to class, I keep wondering about my future. I really want things to change, but not in the dramatical sense. I feel like things are good for me, and I'm really pushing hard to do a lot better. My mind is clear, things aren't bad, but things aren't amazing either, but I'm okay with that.

I'm more worried about the people around me though. My father has always had it rough and I want that to change, but it's tough for everyone in the house in general. Some of my friends seem to be having anxiety with a couple of different things ranging from home life to school to freedom.

My teacher has just arrived, and now I'm off to class.

Before I go though, I hope you all have optimism. I know I do and you need it to get through life.

Classes

High schools and colleges have very different schedules and it kind of rises my curiosity as to why it's like that. Why are they so different? In high school you don't really have that much flexibility. The most you can choose is a couple of courses that you can opt to take for fun, but even then, you have to take them earlier. Later on when you're a senior there's not much work to be done except for college.

I know they're adding a lot more programs for high schoolers and giving them a lot more options than what my father or I had, and I'm not that old. I know at my high school they have all of these classes and courses that I would have loved to take, but now I have to pay for them in college.

High school is basically the same thing nationally. Around 7 to 8 it starts, and around 2 to 3 it stops. Then there's other stuff after school if you want to hang around.

College is so much more different. You have total flexibility with absolutely everything. You can choose your major, choose your minor, what time you want your classes to be, what day of the week, and what classes you want. You can take as much classes you want, or as little.

I think high school should be like that, to some degree, but it wouldn't be as controlled, but I do think it would be better overall. It would enthuse people more, I believe anyway.

So my classes for this semester are Making of the Mind, Statistics, Listening to Music, Sociology, and Science of Modern Electronics.

That's it really. Blog you later.

Nerdy Sadness.

Today was Apple's keynote event, which most of you readers probably don't care about, but I cared about it, cause I'm a nerd, aw yeah. Just like the long run on sentence, the keynote was pretty useless and it didn't help me out in anyway. They released this new tablet called the iPad, and I must say I'm disappointed. Especially because they didn't talk about anything else really.

I was hoping for them to release a new laptop or something so that I could get it. For those of you who know me, or read up on me, know that I've been wanting a laptop for years. anyway, all that aside, i guess i won't be getting a new laptop.

From the first day of running my legs are still sore, so that's both a good thing and a bad thing. It's good because it means I'm developing more muscle and that's definitely a plus. It's a bad thing because I didn't think my legs were this weak. For everyone who knows me, I'm a generally fit person, and am well able to do anything I really want to, but I guess running for a couple miles just isn't fit for my legs just yet.

Anyway, that's going along, and I don't have much to say about my classes just yet. Maybe on Friday or Saturday i'll make another post, because that's the end of the classes for the week.

School tomorrow.

School starts tomorrow, and I'm starting off with math and music. Not very advanced classes but they'll do nonetheless. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of my college friends again, most of the ones I haven't really seen. Some of them I guess I won't be seeing because my schools system screwed them over.

I've also decided to start jogging, every other day, in order to better myself. I also wanted to get my dad into it, because it would be really good for him. Yeah, I'd love to get rid of asthma, and other stupid stuff, and be happier.

In other news, nothing else is really going on. Maybe that will change within the upcoming weeks. I feel like it should.

Internet's been out.

My internet got cut off because of my router going bad. For you non-tech savvy people, that means thats bad.

Anyway, now my internet is back, and rolling, so I can happily keep occupying your minds with my words! Or so I think, and let me have some hope.

I got a letter from my school saying that my classes have been held, and it doesn't really state exactly why. I go online, and everything seems to be fine, but I feel like something stupid is going to happen, and they won't notify me of anything until the last second. Stupid school system.

My friend was telling me how they screwed him over. He was signed up for classes, and they just dropped him immediately because they have a new policy. Your supposed to pay for classes the day you register. Well, they didn't tell him, so they just dropped him. He was going to get a loan, but you have to wait 3 weeks for the loan, and classes start next week, so he can't do that. So the system has screwed another one. I doubt he's the only one too, I'm sure there's tons more people.

I'm going to retire and play this game called Beautiful Katamari, which is a lot of fun.

Birthday.

Today, is my birthday. I should be excited but I'm really not all that crazy for it. Yesterday some big things happened, and now I'm just troubled. I don't really want to say much about it online, because it is pretty personal, and honestly, knowing people, if I talk about it, it will probably cause more high school drama, and that's not what I want.

Needless to say, my 9 month didn't go so well, but you know, I still have hope, and I'm going to keep on pushing. Remembering the post I wrote on optimism one day, it's key, especially in my life, and I'll never give up, on this thing or another.

I'm now 20 years old, and full of a lot of more wisdom then I was earlier on in my life.

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone, I hope I'll have a great birthday!

9 Month and Birthday!

What a weekend! Tomorrow will be my 9 month will Allaire, and that's quite a while for me. It's been a great 9 months and nothing has gone wrong and there's been no problems since the beginning. It's great to have her around, and I feel happy when she is. Then the day after that is my 20th birthday. Yeah, I can already feel the wrinkles starting to appear on my face.

I wonder how the whole weekend will work out to be.

I invited a bunch of people to my house on Sunday because my father said I should, so if I forgot to invite you, let me know.

That's all really, I don't want to go into detail about any specific thing, so, blog you later!

Closing In.

My birthday is in 5 days, and although I'm not as excited as most people are during their birthday, I'd like to celebrate in some spectacular way. I was going to go to this thing called Golden Festival, but they rose the price so it's not even worth it. Most of my friends wouldn't even go anyway, so what's really the point?

I figure I just spend some quality time with my friends, and have some fun, just like any other day really. I'm also going to a show on Monday and Tuesday, at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, so that'll be fun. I might be seeing some friends on Wednesday next week too, so we'll see what happens.

I returned a package that I found in Bank of America to the owners. I tried looking their addresses or phone number up online, but I couldn't find anything, so since I had the address, I went there with a friend. It was pretty nice. We went to Far Rockaway, and tried to find the apartment. After we gave the package back, we went to the beach and admired the beauty of it. It was really nice and peaceful.

Anyway, I might go to an archery range again today, or within the coming days.

Birthday's Nearing.

My birthday is closing in, on the 17th, which is a Sunday, and I have no idea what to do for it. There is this thing called the Golden Festival which I will definitely be going to, but it's in the city, and it costs some amount of money for each person. I've been going there every year since I was a little kid, and it's a lot of fun.

I doubt many of my friends will be allowed to go in though. It's in the upper west side of the city, and it goes on till about 3 AM. It's basically a festival type of thing, and I'm pretty sure I wrote about this last year as well.

If anyone has any ideas of what I can do, besides that, for my birthday, then I'd be happy to take some advice.

Blog you later.

Those two things in the same sentence is pretty hard to understand, they're the complete opposite of each other. I went to an archery range yesterday and shot some arrows with a bow for around 2 hours. It was a lot of fun, and I think I did pretty well for my first time. After that we went back to my house to eat, and then we went to my friend Matt's house and played Warhammer.

Warhammer is a really complicated game, and it's one of those stereotypical nerdy games, but it's a lot of fun, at least I think so. Think Dungeons and Dragons, but not as complicated. You basically have pieces, and you can paint those pieces. You set up your own army, you cast spells and move and attack, and it's a per turn basis game. I think it's a lot of fun, although it's very time consuming.

Anyway, on Tuesday I'm going to go to Mark's Comics to see Matt play a real Warhammer game, and it should be interesting. There's no way I can afford those pieces or mats or paint or anything, but I'd like to get into it.

I'd also like to get into archery, although the bows are ridiculously expensive. The cheapest one I could find is around 65 dollars, and you still have to buy the arrows separate, the arrow holder, and finger protector, and the arm protector. At the place we went, there bows that were being sold for hundreds of dollars, some even almost a thousand.

Anyway, if you want to come with me next time I go, just tell me, it costs 20 dollars.

New Years Resolution

It's the first day of not only the year, but the decade. Last decade started off crappy and it certainly ended crappy, if everyone tries to make a bigger impact on the world, I'm sure it will be better. I hope when I turn 30 in 10 years, the world will be a better place. I can already see more crappy movies and music arriving though.

As the New Years passes, New Year resolutions come. I like to write a list of everything I want done this year, and then seal it and put it somewhere you won't find until the next year comes and you open it and see what has changed since you wrote that list.

I had a pretty good New Years with only a few people, but it was fun nonetheless. I hope you all had a good one. It's national hangover day, so stay safe.
